Uncle Sam’s Comedy Jam School Assembly Helps Meet Constitution Day Education Requirement

September 17 is Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. Did you know that the U.S. Department of Education requires each educational institution that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year to hold an educational program about the U.S. Constitution for its students?  Looking for a Constitution Day School Assembly?  Uncle Sam’s Comedy Jam is a fantastic School Assembly that can help your school meet the Constitution Day education requirement.

Your school can satisfy the federal mandate and entertain and engage your students while learning about the constitution, citizenship, separation of powers and much, much more, during the Uncle Sam’s Comedy Jam School Assembly Show. Students will also learn about The Bill of Rights, Patriotism, the Declaration of Independence, and many other important lessons in a crazy shindig celebrating American Freedom!

Students are the stars of the show during Uncle Sam’s Comedy Jam. A pre-selected student from your school will be dressed up in a Statue of Liberty costume and will make a special appearance surprising the entire crowd at the beginning of the assembly. Your students and teachers will never forget that magical moment!  And they’ll always remember the meaningful lessons that will have them laughing, clapping, and cheering for more.

Scheduling your Uncle Sam’s assembly in the week before or the week after Sept 17 MAY still satisfy the federal mandate!

Uncle Sam’s Comedy Jam IS available nationwide, BUT there are only so many presenters. There’s a provision in the federal mandate that allows observance on a day in the week before OR the week after Sept 17 when it falls on a weekend.  We’re sure they’d make an exception if your school was required to choose a different date due to unavailability of a specific presenter. That’s why we always stress the importance of getting started early with school assembly planning.

MANY states and Municipalities are also celebrating freedom in the week during, or before and after Constitution Day. Schools in Kansas commemorate Constitution Day and many schools observe Celebrate Freedom Week. Scheduling a school assembly is also a great alternative than coming up with new lesson plans!

The Uncle Sam’s Comedy Jam School Assembly is also a great way to commemorate and recognize other national and patriotic holidays such as: Law Day (May 1), Flag Day (June 14), Bill of Rights Day (Dec 15), President’s Day (February 17), Independence Day (July 4) Memorial Day (May 25, 2020), Veterans Day (Nov 11), Labor Day, Election Day, and many others.
