Virtual Assemblies are a great alternative to in-person experiences.
Virtual School Assemblies are a great alternative to in-person large-group assemblies. They will work on-site if students are required to stay in small groups or in individual classrooms. The artist will still be live and interactively engaging with your students, they are just tuning in from the classroom computer.
Or, if your school days are broken into staggered schedules to maintain physical distancing among your school community, some students may participate in the e-learning experience while on-site and others while at home. Your school may also choose to schedule multiple dates/times of the same program to ensure that all students have an opportunity to view the program and interact with the artist live.
Many programs are also able to be recorded live and then made accessible to those students who weren’t able to engage in the live experience. If your school isn’t big on interactivity or a live experience, pre-recorded e-learning programs are also available.
Virtual Educational Entertainment affords experiences that may not otherwise be available in-person.
Another benefit of virtual and online assemblies and educational entertainment is the ability to bring in experiences that may not otherwise be available to your school and your students. Music Technology with Brent Daniels is one such example. This is no ordinary distance learning program or Zoom meeting! Brent’s virtual Music Technology Assembly is interactive, dynamic, and cutting edge. It’s a masterclass that your students will talk about for years!
Prior to COVID-19, this program was only available on the Northeast Coast of the United States, and possibly in the Midwest once or twice a year, despite nationwide demand. But now with the virtual assembly, an outstanding artist and program is now available to schools nationwide!
Virtual School and Camp Shows are also significantly less expensive than in-person if the artist has to travel.
There is also a significant cost savings for virtual school assemblies over in-person programs especially when the presenter would have to travel to visit your school in person. Corey The Dribbler is another example. While available nationwide in-person, there is a significant cost savings to schedule Corey’s Virtual Character Education Assembly because there is no travel fee. Plus, it’s adaptable to various scenarios.
Virtual Assemblies create a connection and shared experience among your students and staff that they will remember for years.
During this challenging and unprecedented time, it is so important to be able to bring schools, camps, and communities together to laugh, play and enjoy connections. The Virtual Game Show is a lot of fun and another successful example. It’s fast paced, creative, and exciting. This program is still an excellent avenue to welcome campers to camp as an introduction or ice-breaker activity, or to welcome students back to a new school year, even if it looks a little bit different than they remember when they left school last spring or left camp last summer.
