Thanksgiving. Black Friday. Small Business Saturday. Cyber Monday. And now it’s Giving Tuesday!

This Giving Tuesday, we at Academic Entertainment encourage you to make a gift to your local school or parent group. Many Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs), Home and School Associations (HSAs), Parent Teacher Clubs (PTCs), and others are registered Tax-Exempt 501c3 non-profit organizations, which means your gift may be tax-deductible.

These organizations are also usually all volunteer-run keeping administrative costs to a minimum, and you may feel rest assured that their work directly benefits the school children in your community. There may also be tax incentives for donations directly to your local school or school district.

Designate your gift for “School assemblies,” “assemblies,” or even Arts-In-Education. You may also include “Virtual School Assemblies,” “Virtual Assemblies,” or “Virtual Arts in Education” on the memo.  Virtual and in-person School assemblies are an excellent way to ensure that most every child will participate or benefit from the gift, as an all-school function. Online School assemblies or in-person school shows are also at a relatively low cost-per-pupil compared to other programs.

If you’re not able to give directly to the school district, and the school doesn’t have a non-profit booster club through which you can donate, also check in to local service organizations such as Rotary, Lions, Eagles, Kiwanis, or other types of clubs. Many of these groups already have relationships with the schools, and if you designate your gift to schools or school shows, or virtual school shows, their membership will ensure the gift is used accordingly.

For a list of programs and prices that your gift might be utilized toward, ask a PTA or school representative to contact us via phone 800-883-9883, email info@academicentertainment.com, or fill-out and submit our request information form.
