Getting the Facts – Listening. Choosing a time to Talk. Understanding and empathizing with other. Listening and communication skills.
Expressing How You Feel – Don’t Blame. Walking or calmly moving away, slowing down, understanding it’s alright to feel mad, and expressing of feelings through communication of “I” messages.
Brainstorming – Thinking of all the possible solutions.
Negotiation – Everybody Wins. Practicing true compromise and understanding the benefits of win/win goals.
Students learn skills for problem solving best when they are engaged, participating in the learning process, and having a great time! Les Trouble PI also includes role-playing and play-acting, volunteer participation, tons of comedic humor, and some unique illusions to engage students in the lessons. It is CRITICAL to provide a parking space for loading/unloading and ensure your show begins on time!
Audience: K-6 Capacity: 400 Presentation Time: 45 minutes Prefer split younger/older but not required
Set-Up Time: 45 minutes. Please ensure performance space is clear and empty of classes
during set-up time. Take-Down Time: 30 minutes
Presentation Area: Brightly lit performance space; minimum area of 15 ft. x 20 ft. Performance space can be stage or floor-level; floor level is preferred. If performance space is floor level, please seat students on the floor and not in chairs. If the performance area is a stage, please make sure there are stairs for easy volunteer access to the performance area.
Assembly Requirements: One small table like a student desk or folding card table, and a wheeled media cart (similar to what is used for audio visual equipment or supplies in the lunchroom). Nearby electrical outlet or extension cord. Depending on your location, you may be asked to provide a PA system with RCA-jack input.
