Kevin Szawala aka “Mr. Peace” is a National Youth Speaker and Michigan native from Metro Detroit who specializes in bullying prevention, diversity and inclusion, teen mental health and suicide awareness. He travels the country performing high energy, inspirational and heart-hitting K-12 assemblies, and since 2006 has spoken to over 1,000,000 people in 1,000+ schools in 20+ states. “Mr. Peace” knows that his life mission is to leave a positive impact on others by spreading a passionate message of kindness, love and understanding.
Although “Mr. Peace” mostly provides assemblies for public schools in grades K–12, he also hosts enrichment programs for staff and parents in an effort to reach your entire community. His presentations are all dynamic, interactive, adaptable, and packed with positive hip-hop musical performances, age-appropriate information, and captivating multimedia. Furthermore, he has a wide range of faith-based options too because of his prior experience in youth ministry. It is CRITICAL to provide a parking space for loading/unloading and ensure your show begins on time!
Audience: K-12 Capacity: 400 Presentation Time: 45 minutes Prefer split younger/older but not required
Set-Up Time: 30 to 45 minutes Take-Down Time: 15 to 25 minutes
Presentation Area: Performance space can be stage or floor-level; elevated is preferred. If performance space is floor level, please seat students on the floor and not in chairs. If the performance area is a stage, please ensure there are stairs for easy-volunteer access to the performance area.
Arrival: No assistance for set-up or take-down of this program is required.
Assembly Requirements: Please provide an extension cord and access to an electrical outlet. Depending on your location, you may be asked to supply a PA system with a microphone and ability to play CDs or an iPod over the system. If two or more presentations are scheduled, please divide students by grade level for each presentation – K-3, 4-6, etc. Please reserve (by blocking off with traffic cones) a parking spot for your performer for unloading, and parking, to insure a timely start time.

Platform: Zoom preferred, others available if school sets-up and hosts Presenter will: set-up and email Zoom link as late as the week prior to your show date. Please anticipate meeting presenter in the Zoom meeting 15-minutes prior to your start time so they may enable you/school representative as a co-host, and accommodate any last minute details/instructions.
