What is a School Assembly?
A school assembly is an opportunity to bring all of your students and school staff together to hear a shared message or to share a common experience. School assemblies should be entertaining and engaging. School assemblies can be educational, motivational, inspirational, and a lot of fun too.

How long are school assemblies?
Most school shows are 45 minutes in length. Some assemblies are a little shorter, such as 40 minutes. Anything shorter than that, your school will be missing out on either some of the FUN parts of the show OR some of the learning elements of the assembly. Some assemblies are a little longer, 50 minutes, 55 minutes, or up to an hour. Anything longer than that and you risk losing the attention of your student audience. Many school assemblies are easily adaptable to fit into a school period schedule or bell schedule. Always check in with your assembly presenter prior to the show to let them know what time the assembly must end by.
Where are assemblies held in schools?
Schools usually host school assemblies in the school gym, cafeteria, auditorium, or multi-purpose room. Sometimes they are held outdoors, but an indoor backup plan is always required in the event of inclement weather. Make sure your assembly space meets the requirements of each artist, both in terms of physical room dimensions as well as sound or other technical needs for the presentation. Double-check to ensure you’re also aware of any lighting requirements, such as if a room needs to be bright, or darkened for a slide show presentation.

Who does school assemblies?

Yes! Many corporate entities have hosted Academic Entertainment assemblies for special events like family holiday parties or special events such as Take Your Child to Work Day.
