Labels Lie goes beyond the bystander/bully/victim labels to get at the underlying causes of bullying.  Keith Deltano uses comedy to show students why they do what they do. Keith's background in public education gives him insight into school culture.  The "mean girls," status clothes, "in" group and cliques will all come under his comedic wit. Keith challenges the youth and adults in the audience to seriously contemplate how they view one another.  This show is great if you are having problems with cliques, racism, bullying, or staff infighting. This anti-bullying assembly will make your students and staff see bullying from a different point of view.

Labels Lie is about acceptance, making new friends by reaching out, and encouraging the audience to stop judging one another by outward appearance, speech, or economic status.  Keith will inspire those that have been bullied and force the bullies to take a harsh look at why they do what they do.  The students that have “caught it” because they learn differently or struggle academically and socially will come away especially inspired! Physical, verbal, and online bullying are all discussed.

Great show, high energy, timely topic, engaging. Parents came away talking about how great the show was. Information for teachers was something they could use the next day in the classroom.

Mr. Deltano was a pleasure to have in our school. He connected really well with both our 7th and 8th grade students and adjusted his material accordingly to fit the maturity level of the different grade levels.  We will be inviting him back in the future for an assembly. My staff was very complimentary of him and all feedback from staff regarding the assembly was positive. In eleven years of education, I've attended some great assemblies, some average assemblies, and some below average assemblies. His was the best I've seen yet!!!

Alston Middle School has nearly 1,100 students from very diverse backgrounds. They’re a pretty tough group to sell. Keith’s  bullying assembly was able to reach and connect with our students in a powerful and unique way.

Keith Deltano is an amazing speaker!  He kept the attention of well over 600 middle school students during each performance, touched on all the topics that our school is struggling with - including inappropriate pictures via technology, and had everyone (including teachers) laughing.  We received a number of appreciative emails from teachers, staff, and even parents following his visit.  We would wholeheartedly recommend him!

I was astounded by the attentiveness of our usually restless alternative school students. Your ability to combine the needed discipline and interlace good humor with your teaching is incomparable and priceless.

Keith was engaging from beginning to end.  He did a wonderful job with both shows.  We had two presentations done one with 4th and one with 5th.  All students were involved and after the presentation able to discuss what Keith had presented.  It has been a few weeks now and the students are still able to tell me bullying is verbal, physical, exclusionary and on-line!  The parent presentation that evening was also well received.  Thank you.

Keith was absolutely fabulous!  His humor and straight forward approach was exactly what our students needed.  This presentation has made our students think and begin to take a stand against bullying.  I appreciate his willingness to come and visit our small, rural school.

Keith captures Kids with humor, then brings home the seriousness of his topic.  He leaves students with a few simple yet powerful tools.  Immediatly after the assembly, a teacher witnessed a 7th grader go up to a lone 6th grader and invite her into their group.

Wow! To hold 1200 students’ attention for more than an hour is not only a testimony to your abilities as a speaker, it is also a testimony to the idea that kids want someone to tell them that it is OK to take a stand for what is right.
